Calories... to count or not to count?
This question remains hard to answer unequivocally… on one hand keeping tabs on what you eat may significantly reduce the amount of “empty” calories ingested during the day – especially through foods and drinks that seem harmless. However, do you know your caloric intake as you snack, drink coffee or “fix” yourself before lunch? How about all the late night munching?

No muscle left behind!
If you’ve ever taken one of my classes, you’ve probably heard me jokingly yell out, “In my class there is NO MUSCLE left behind!”
I say that in jest, but I also mean it. Working out all muscles in the body is very important; not only does this help you develop a healthy and athletic physique, but it promotes joint stability, thus preventing injuries that can occur from muscle imbalances.

Confused about when to buy organic?
Buying organic is a smart choice to reduce your exposure to harmful pesticides, herbicides, and other poisonous agricultural chemicals, which are a major source of the toxins to which we are exposed.
The Environmental Working Group states: “people can lower their pesticide exposure by almost 80% by avoiding the top twelve most contaminated fruits and vegetables and eating the least contaminated instead.”
Working out regularly does not just feel great – it really contributes to your short term and long term health. I found this information from about.com insightful and believe you will too.
Osteoporosis is a disease of the bones that affects men and women, especially women beyond menopause because estrogen helps to protect bone. In osteoporosis, the bones become brittle and weak and have a greater risk of fracture. The word osteoporosis means “porous bones,” where porous essentially means “full of holes” — and that accurately describes the condition of osteoporotic bones.
